Jaquan Dublin, of Egg Harbor City pleaded guilty on Tuesday, May 16 to four counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Dublin was arrested and charged on Feb. 10, 2021 for sexually assaulting four children all of which occurred in Galloway Township during the summer of 2020, the prosecutor said.
Although he was 18 when arrested, Dublin was 17 when the offenses.occurred, the prosecutor said.
The State filed a motion in Family Court for the defendant to be prosecuted as an adult which was granted by the Court.
Dublin will be required to serve 25 years in New Jersey State Prison before release.
As a result of the guilty plea, Dublin faces three concurrent sentences of 25 years in prison.
He must serve the entire 25-year sentence without parole, the prosecutor said.
A fourth sentence of 20 years subject to the No Early Release Act requires that he serve eighty-five percent of that sentence before being eligible for parole.
Upon release from prison, Dublin will be subject to Megan’s Law registration and Parole Supervision for Life.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit investigated this case.
Sentencing is currently scheduled for June 27, but may be postponed pending an evaluation at the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Avenel, the prosecutor said.
